COURSES
Day Skipper/Yachtmaster Shorebased
These RYA courses have been provided through the Adult Education Services of Dover County Council, with our own Training Officer Dave Ford as course tutor. Although Dover Adult Education may continue to run these courses, Dave will be running the Yachtmaster Theory Course under the auspices of the RCPYC in 2006. Dates will be announced early in the New Year, but interested members should contact Dave Ford directly.
RYA First Aid at Sea Course
The RCPYC is registered to teach this RYA course, which covers most general injuries and illnesses with particular emphasis on the variations applied at sea. In 2004 two courses were run over 1 Day and 2 x ½ Days respectively, by Sandy Rawlinson-Wallis, a club member who is a Registered First Aid Instructor, Registered Nurse and Midwife as well as a Master Diving Instructor.
